{"id":832,"date":"2005-10-16T17:46:16","date_gmt":"2005-10-16T17:46:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xpantispy.org\/xpas-ng\/2005\/10\/trojaner-in-xp-antispy\/"},"modified":"2005-10-16T17:46:16","modified_gmt":"2005-10-16T17:46:16","slug":"trojaner-in-xp-antispy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xp-antispy.org\/en\/2005\/10\/trojaner-in-xp-antispy\/","title":{"rendered":"Trojaner in xp-AntiSpy?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once in a while i get mails from users of the xp-AntiSpy, who concern<br \/>\nabout their virus scanning application detecting a trojan horse in the<br \/>\nfile uninstall.exe.<br \/>  This is not a virus nor a trojan horse, nor any other bad file.<br \/>  To build the installation file for the xp-AntiSpy i use <a class=\"mylink\"  =\"\" href=\"http:\/\/nsis.sf.net\">NSIS<\/a>.<br \/>\nThis is a free and open source installation scripting framework which<br \/>\nis used by many other projects to present a handy tool for installation<br \/>\nand uninstallation of the main program.<br \/>  The file uninstall.exe is a part of the NSIS framework and contains no malware!<br \/>  Mostly this false detection of a trojan horse is due to out dated virus scanners.<br \/>  So please, not only for minimizing false detections, keep your virus scanner up to date!<br \/>  For those of you, lacking a virus scanner, maybe because it&#8217;s payware, i suggest you to use <a class=\"mylink\"  =\"\" href=\"http:\/\/free-av.com\/\">AntiVir<\/a>.
